An enormous willow fence!
We are building a wall of willow rods in Amsterdam Zuidoost where they are building the Gaasperdammer Tunnel. This sustainable fence is intended to remove the view of the roadworks as much as possible. It is also a test case: climbing plants will be planted in the fence that may help to collect fine particles. This woven willow fencing is 250 metres long and 3 metres high. We are carrying out this project for Rijkswaterstaat (Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management).
